Press Release – New Wines and Champagne products – July 2024
Since 2021, Maison Lehmann, the French brand of tasting glasses based in Reims, has been investing in Ultralight technology, combining exceptional finesse and optimum lightness. In 2024, Lehmann went even further, improving the technicality of its machine made Ultralight glasses.
The Maison’s Signatures collections, created in partnership with personalities from the world of wine and gastronomy, are made of lead-free crystal glass and subtly combine glassmaking know-how and oenological expertise. Within these collections, two production techniques stand out: handmade glass, an artisanal process; and machine made glass, an industrial process. To take its quest for excellence a step further, in 2021 Maison Lehmann developed “Ultralight” technology, making handmade and machine made glass 30% thinner and lighter.
In 2024, after two more years of R&D on the Ultralight process, Lehmann is now the first glass brand to offer Ultralight mechanical wine glasses with precise, regular quilting. Until then, this specific glass shape was only possible with handmade Ultralight.
Mastery of the Ultralight process now enables the Maison to reproduce its emblematic handmade creations in Ultralight machine made versions: for Champagne lovers, glass no. 4# in 40 cl from the Signature A.Lallement collection and the Grand Champagne # in 40 cl from the Signature P.Jamesse collection. For universal glasses, the Hommage 40 joins the Signature G.Basset collection and is suitable for all types of wine, whether red, white or sparkling.
Lehmann is also pleased to present this year its new Signature F.Thireau collection dedicated to Mixology, the creation of the handmade France carafe in honor of the 2024 Olympic Games, the renewal of its Excellence range as well as the creation of the Absolus Black 46 cl machine made glass, a black-tinted glass for lovers of blind tastings.
